Yadier Molina

I don’t know anyone outside of St. Louis who likes Yadier Molina.

Admittedly, I’m biased in my dislike towards Molina as I am a Reds fan. Not only does he hit a home run every time the Cardinals play the Reds (who doesn’t hit a home run against the Reds nowadays?), but there was that whole thing with Brandon Phillips are few years ago.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, here’s a refresher:

Now, Phillips started this by saying “I hate the Cardinals. All they do is moan. They’re little female dogs.” His language was worse than mine. Phillips followed this up by tapping the shinguards of Molina.

All of this could be considered provoking and you could say Molina was simply sticking up for himself and his teammates. And if I were not a biased Reds fan, I would likely agree. But, I’m a biased Reds fan. And Molina is a jerk for starting this fight.

Phillips isn’t the only guy who thinks Molina and the Cardinals are crybabies. Jonathan Lucroy and the Milwaukee Brewers put out an All-Star game ad in 2014 with a picture of Molina and a crying baby sound effect.

Last year, Molina used Instagram to take shots at his manager. Prior to the season, after Wilson Contreras praised Molina for being one of the best catchers in recent memory, Molina used Instagram to try and put Contreras in his place. This man is on petty on social media so often he should be in the NBA.

Cardinals fans love Molina. No one else does.
