The order of the 14 lottery picks in this summer’s 2018 NBA Draft is in. Here is a look at the lottery results compared to their odds based on records.

1. Phoenix Suns

2. Sacramento Kings

3. Atlanta Hawks

4. Memphis Grizzlies

5. Dallas Mavericks

6. Orlando Magic

7. Chicago Bulls

8. Cleveland Cavaliers (via Nets)

9. New York Knicks

10. Philadelphia 76ers (via Lakers)

11. Charlotte Hornets

12. LA Clippers (via Pistons)

13. LA Clippers

14. Denver Nuggets

The Suns landed the top pick as the odds expected. The Sacramento Kings come away as arguably the biggest winners, though. They came in with an 18.3 percent chance of landing in the top 3 and jumped all the way up to No. 2. This year, the top two players expected to be taken, DeAndre Ayton (C, Arizona) and Luka Doncic (SG, Slovenia), are seen as a cut above the rest of the class.

The Grizzlies will pick at No.4 in spite of the odds that they would be drafting in one of the first three spots. The best players after one and two are a lot less clear, especially the order. But this class throughout the lottery is expected to be a very good one.

At the bottom of the lottery, the Clippers will have two picks back to back.

The NBA Draft is just over a month away. It is scheduled for Thursday, June 21 at 7:00 p.m. EST.
