4. Green Bay uses a ton of WRs

For most teams, Davante Adams, Jimmy Graham and Randall Cobb would be more than enough offensive fire power and it may be for the Packers as well. But someone has to play in these multiple receiver sets.

Green Bay used three receivers (11 personnel) 60 percent of the time last season, for example, which means most of the time, there’s a third receiver on the field. Going back to 2016, a better approximation of what this offense should look like in 2018 with a healthy Aaron Rodgers, that team used 4+ receivers on 23 percent of offensive snaps per Sharp Football, by far the most in the league.

That team played 50 percent of its snaps in 11 personnel, which means nearly 75 percent of the time the Packers had three or more receivers on the field. They need a reliable third option.
