Welcome into the Tuesday edition of the FanDuel daily fantasy baseball column! We have a sprawling 14 game slate on hand tonight so let’s get rolling.

Last night was one of the more annoying nights for DFS this season. The Indians were such ridiculous chalk, it basically made the slate boil down to which four players that weren’t Indians. Unfortunately for us, the hitters that weren’t Indians(and some that were) neglected to show up. We missed the cash line by under three points in many spots, which is literally a single base hit. We have a massive slate tonight so let’s not lament the past.

White Sox at Pirates

White Sox Probable Starter – Reynaldo Lopez, RHP

2.44 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 6.29 K/9

Vs LHH – .229 average, .340 wOBA, 52.5 fly ball percent and 35.6 hard contact rate

Vs RHH – .165 average, .238 wOBA, 46.5 fly ball percent and 31.0 hard contact rate

I’ve decided to start to include the fly ball percentage for the starting pitcher because I generally reference it enough to matter. Lopez has some nice looking stats from ERA and WHIP perspective but he is also due some major regression. He doesn’t have a high strikeout rate and is giving up a ton of fly balls to both sides of the plate. I’d generally focus more on the lefty hitters from the Buccos tonight and even in PNC Park, we could see plenty of balls leaving the yard. Colin Moran is under $3,000 and is fairly tempting.

Pirates Hitters to Target

Elite Options – Corey Dickerson, Colin Moran

Secondary Options – Gregory Polanco, Starling Marte, Josh Bell

Pirates Probable Starter – Trevor Williams, RHP

3.13 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 5.67 K/9

Vs LHH – .240 average, .308 wOBA, 35.2 fly ball percent and 23.3 hard contact rate

Vs RHH – .176 average, .278 wOBA, 41.7 fly ball percent and 33.9 hard contact rate

On shorter slates, Williams can sometimes be a nice money saving option to load up on bats. On a huge 14 game slate, that’s not going to happen. Williams hasn’t been very good in his past two starts and the catch is he doesn’t have the strikeouts to bail himself out if things don’t go perfectly. Chicago does have some potential tonight as an under the radar team to stack up but I’m not likely to use this side of the game too much. On a related note, get healthy soon Yoan Moncada. He might be off the disabled list today and has a juicy matchup if he’s in the lineup.

White Sox Hitters to Target

Elite Options – None

Secondary Options – Jose Abreu, Yolmer Sanchez, Wellington Castillo

Home Run Pick – Colin Moran
