4. Aaron Judge

Unlike Garner, Aaron Judge has been playing pretty good baseball all season long. Even so, he’s been absolutely on fire during his last seven games.

Judge has mashed three home runs in his last six games. He’s also hitting a scorching .391 during that same time period. His OPS of 1.359 gives a full picture of just how dominant he’s been at the plate.

The best thing that Judge does for this team is get on base. He hits for a terrific average, but he’s also learning how to really work the count. That’s providing him even more opportunities to draw walks. They aren’t as sexy as his long balls, but they are very helpful to the Yankee offense.

The real question for Judge is whether or not he has another offensive gear. If he does, we could easily be talking about an AL MVP award in his near future. Even if he doesn’t play any better than he is at the moment, he’s still a lock to make the All Star team.

As long as Judge continues to play within himself he should stay hot all year long. He only gets in trouble when he tries to do too much.
