The Washington Capitals host the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.

On Tuesday night, the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Washington Capitals by a final score of 4-2 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final. Strong performances from the likes of Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov, Victor Hedman and Andrei Vasilevskiy was the central avenue through which the Lightning snatched victory from the jaws of defeat so as to usher forth their first victory of the series.

For the Bolts, Game 4 is a chance to take charge of the overarching momentum of the third-round matchup. Expect Tampa’s stars to have another performance for the books if they’re serious about proving that they can embark upon a sharp push for the Cup. The Bolts’ success in the previous game was primarily a result of the team’s ability to capitalize on Washington’s missed opportunities, so look for the power play to be in full swing. If Vasilevskiy manages to pull off another “lights-out” performance, the series might just be evened up rather swiftly.

For the Capitals, Thursday night’s contest is an opportunity to reestablish command of the Conference Final. Taking advantage of home ice will be absolutely pivotal — as such, look for the team’s superstars to score early and play a relentless two-way game. Alexander Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Lars Eller and Braden Holtby have been clutch when tasked with the seemingly impossible, so expect much of the same in the upcoming matchup.
