Steelers rumored to be unveiling new uniforms
The Pittsburgh Steelers are steeped in tradition, but the NFL franchise will be unveiling new alternate uniforms on May 30.
It’s going to be a long two weeks for Pittsburgh Steelers fans. They’re going to need to wait almost two weeks to find out what the team’s new alternate uniforms are going to look like.
This news does come as a bitter blow for fans who were big fans of the team’s “bumblebee” jerseys that the Steelers wore on several occasions throughout the last six years. This new uniform will replace the, as the team’s new alternate look.
Fans will also find out when the team will wear the new jersey for the first time. Expect it to be a popular seller in advance of the day it’s seen for the first time.
The team will continue to wear their Color Rush uniforms for the foreseeable future. Steelers’ owner Art Rooney insists his team will wear that uniform variation when they take on the Carolina Panthers on Thursday, November 8. All in all, the Steelers will wear a total of four uniforms during their 2018 campaign.
The interesting question here is just how creative the Steelers might be willing to go with their new uniforms. They are one of the NFL’s most storied teams. It would be a significant surprise to see them vary too far from anything they’ve done in the past.
