The Golden State Warriors will host the Houston Rockets on Sunday night. Here is how to watch this Western Conference NBA playoff game online via live streaming.

The Rockets and Warriors enter Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals the same way they entered the series: all knotted up. After Golden State extinguished Houston’s hope of taking an early 1-0 at home, the Rockets came back in Game 2 and sliced the Warriors up for a 22-point victory.

The Rockets may have won back home-court advantage in Game 2, but Golden State is extremely difficult to beat at home, and Houston cannot afford to back home for Game 5 down 3-1. In order to steal a game at Oracle, the Rockets will likely need another big showing from their role players. P.J. Tucker and Trevor Ariza combined for 41 points on 15-of-18 shooting in Game 3, while Eric Gordon chipped in a team-high 27 points off the bench. Those guys almost certainly won’t all catch fire at the same time again, but that sort of balanced effort is a template for how Houston can win the series. Luc Mbah a Moute remains a wild card that has so far been unreliable in anything more than a minimal role.

With Houston’s constant switching helped them clamp down (relatively) on Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, the Warriors have turned to Kevin Durant, their unguardable trump card, to carry their offense. Durant has notched 37 and 38 points in the first two games of the series and proven completely uncontainable. The downside of that dominance was on display in Game 2, however, as Durant failed to involve his teammates as he went to work against overmatched defenders. Golden State needs Curry to be Curry in this series, a reality made uncertain by his (potential) lingering knee soreness.

Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Eastern on May 20, 2018 at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. The game will be broadcast nationally on TNT, and can also be streamed online via NBA League Pass and FuboTV.

Both sides have clear room for improvement heading into Game 3. James Harden, brilliant as he was in Game 1, had a ho-hum Game 2 by his standards. It’s possible, or perhaps likely, that Chris Paul has a dominant game in him. The same goes for Curry, who at his best bends an opposing defense to his will before snapping it with a barrage of triples. Klay Thompson only attempted four 3-pointers in Game 2. As the series’ marquee players grow more comfortable against their opponent, strategic counters will follow, adding new layers to an already intricate and talent-rich matchup. After two games, it feels likely as ever that we’ll get the seven-game epic we’ve been awaiting since July.
