Celtics-Cavaliers (Celtics Lead 2-1)

With only one game on the schedule, your top DraftKings option is Showdown. If you’re unfamiliar with Showdown, it’s a one game league where you have six spots, positions don’t matter, salaries are inflated from your typical leagues, and you have to select at least one player from each team.

It was another blowout in Game 3 with the Cavaliers on the right side of the scoreboard. As mentioned prior to Game 3, the Celtics have not been as good on the road. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers have been great at home and there was little chance LeBron James was going down 3-0.

The playoffs have been lopsided thus far. My gut says the Celtics will be better in Game 4, but that’s not saying a lot given how bad they were in Game 3.

LeBron James ($19,700) actually underdelivered in Game 3 with 60.75 fantasy points. He got a lot of help from his teammates, which was to be expected with the series shifting back to Cleveland. You can still take LeBron and a Cleveland role player and get better value than taking two high salary Boston players.

Kevin Love ($12,800) still offers more value than Al Horford ($11,900), although the gap between salaries has grown. Love didn’t even shoot well in Game 3, but offered enough value with his rebounding. Horford offered almost no value at his salary.

In fact, no one on Boston offered much value compared to their salary in Game 3. Jaylen Brown ($11,500), Jayson Tatum ($10,100) and Terry Rozier ($9,800) have to be better. I think Brown has it in him to bounce back. I’m less sold on Tatum and Rozier. Marcus Smart ($8,600) is still a guy I like at a now reduced price while Marcus Morris ($7,800) remains a risk on the road. Aron Baynes ($5,100) might be the most cost effective Celtic at this point.

All of the Cleveland role players offered similar final numbers. Tristan Thompson ($5,600) is still the most reliable guy because his points are easy and he’ll get rebounds. But George Hill ($4,000), Kyle Korver ($4,700) and J.R. Smith ($3,400) shot better, which was to be expected at home. Larry Nance Jr. ($4,400) turned into a big contributor. Be cautious with him because that could have been a product of the blowout and not the cause of the blowout.
