Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Will the real Jameis Winston please stand up?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Jameis Winston with the first overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, and the hope was they found their franchise quarterback for the next 15 years. However, to say his NFL career has been a roller coaster would be an understatement, and now the fan base is asking the real Winston to please stand up.

During his rookie season, Winston was thrown right into action, and he played very well for the Buccaneers in year one. He threw for over 4,000 yards in his rookie campaign, but the team was only 6-10, so it kind of overshadowed how good of a season he really had.

In 2016, the Buccaneers took a major step forward, racking up nine wins, and looking like a team who is going to be a playoff contender for many years to come. Winston also took a major step forward, tossing nearly 30 touchdowns, and really developing himself as a leader for this team on and off the field.

Last season, with so many high expectations, the Buccaneers really took a step in the wrong direction. Winston had his worst year as a pro, battled inconsistent play and injuries, and the team finished the year as the only member of the NFC South to not make the playoffs.

For 2018, the Buccaneers faithful are just hoping for a quiet season from Winston off the field, and a monster season on it. He has a ton of weapons on the outside, including Desean Jackson and Mike Evans, so there is no reason he cannot come close to 30 touchdowns again in 2018.
