How NBA Twitter responded to King Jamesā dominanceĀ down the stretch.
There was no way LeBron James was going to let his second stint with his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers end with a loss at The Q.
Not on his watch.
Down the stretch of Game 6, when it looked like the Boston Celtics would go on a run to finish off the off-kilterĀ Cavs, there was LeBron, with his black and wine cape flowing through the air, saving his team from elimination on its own court.
If this was, indeed, the last time anyone within (and surrounding) Quicken Loans Arena would see their beloved King James in person in aĀ Cavs uniform ever again, at least he gave them a performance that many will talk about for years to come.
James has been a dominant force at home throughout the playoffs, and he has saved some of his best for the Eastern Conference-best Boston Celtics. The Celtics, who are now 1-8 on the road in the playoffs, have been bamboozled by a man who, quite frankly, is not a man.
Heās basketballās version of Superman, and on a night where they needed their superhero the most, he delivered ā and of course, NBA Twitter exploded in disbelief.
Itās pretty clear to everyone that King James stands on his own now.
Rodney Hood was certainly a difference maker!
The sun doesnāt have a prayer against LeBron.
Thatās been a reality for the Cavs ever since he came into the league. Oh, and letās not overlook that three-year leave of absence, when everything fell apart.
Never put this curse on us again, Jeremy!
This tweet speaks for itself.
This tweet could have gone either way. Either heās a Celtics fan now dreading having to play a Game 7 against The King, or heās just as amazed as the rest of us at this manās sheer brilliance on the basketball court.
