Lucifer returns with two bonus episodes following its cancellation. The first of the two, “Boo Normal,” has Chloe and Lucifer working on another case.

Lucifer is still looking for a new home, but fans are being treated to two brand new unaired episodes that were meant for season 4. In “Boo Normal,” things are anything but normal with Lucifer and the gang.

Here’s the official synopsis the Lucifer episode “Boo Normal: “A child psychiatrist is murdered; Ella thinks about a big childhood secret that she’s been hiding.”

Here’s what we know: “Boo Normal” is considered a standalone episode that would have been shown in season 4. It’s not clear whether or not there will be any references to what happened between Chloe and Lucifer in the season 3 finale. After that bombshell revelation, it would be great to see how things are between Lucifer and Chloe, but we’re not getting our hopes up, even though that would be amazing.

In this previously unaired episode, Chloe and Lucifer investigate the death of a child psychiatrist. The murder sparks a memory for Ella, who has been keeping something from the group. Since her introduction we have received glimpses inside Ella’s past and she’s an intriguing character with many layers. She has a troubled brother and fought hard to overcome a great deal of adversity in her youth. Given all of those things, we can’t imagine what her childhood secret might be. (And we’re frustrated that we don’t get much time to explore it!)

It has been two weeks since Lucifer bowed for its series finale on FOX, but now we have two bonus episodes that were filmed during season 3 with the intent to air them in season 4. Now that FOX didn’t pick up Lucifer, the network has decided to air the episodes so they aren’t lost forever. Meanwhile, fans continue to rally around their show in hopes of finding a new home for the handsome devil.
