Bargain drivers (salary below $9,000)

Ryan Newman ($8,700) – He’s better than you might think in this race, with top-10 finishes each of the last three seasons. His upside feels limited considering he’s starting sixth, but in this salary range, that’s not as much of a concern.

AJ Allmendinger ($8,000) – Depends on whether you feel his All-Star Race heroics were only made possible by the special rules package. If not, could have gained some swagger that could make him interesting.

William Byron ($7,800) – Could really flip a coin between him and Alex Bowman, as both are starting outside the top 20 and are roughly around the same salary. Byron seems to be slowly turning the light bulb on, though.

Ty Dillon ($6,000) – Won’t hear us call his name too often, but he looked good on Saturday and showed enough speed to qualify in the top 20. If you need a cheap last lineup spot filler, he’s worth a flier.
