18. Hawaii (Green)

One of the four Under Armour representatives on this list is the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. While a name like Rainbow Warriors is certainly not commonplace, it’s not exactly easy to work with either. Especially on a football field where the designers are trying to make the Rainbow Warriors look intimidating. Despite this, hats go off to Under Armour for making some pretty intimidating jerseys. That being said, when you’re given the colors green, grey, black and white, it’s not exactly difficult to work with.

Under Armour does a good job encompassing all school colors in the green Hawaii uniforms. The dark green is used as the main color in the uniform, while all neutral school colors are also present. The lettering and numbering is a light grey with a black outline. Finally, a plain grey collar gives the jersey a sophisticated and bold look. The bold font used to spell out Hawaii using a series of focal points also adds to the simple, yet intricate design.

Much like Michigan State, the green that Hawaii is represented by is a darker shade. When putting this into a uniform, the “rainbow” can almost be forgotten as this hue screams warrior. When combined with the black and grey in the Hawaii color scheme, the combination can bring an ominous feel to the table and creates an unstable mood for opponents. Are we still talking about the same Rainbow Warriors? Absolutely. Now, throw in the bold, defiant font of Hawaii and you’ve got yourself a team of men who’ve forgotten all about the nickname, they play for the name on the front of the stylish jersey.
