16. Kansas State (Purple)
The Kansas State uniforms and their football teamās style of play under legendary head coach Bill Snyder can be described in one wayĀ ā basic, but successful. The Wildcats are one of the only universities around the country to have only one color. Typically, the purple is accompanied by either white or silver, but the only official color of the school is purple.
Large in part, the Kansas State jerseys havenāt been subject to a drastic change in a while. Snyder has kept the uniform rather basic, instead of giving in to the new trend of flashy uniforms. Thereās something to be said for that as the Wildcatsā uniforms are some of the most stunning around the NCAA today. Theyāve withstood the harsh test of time, as has Snyder (both have been around since 1989 minus a brief uniform change and Snyderās multi-year departure). Before beginning to depict the jerseys, kudos must be given to Snyder for his amazing accomplishments over his career. His best may have just been sticking with these amazing uniforms.
Since 1989, Kansas State has come out for home games in their purple jerseys. Not only is it a tradition, but if something isnāt broken, you donāt fix it. The purple jerseys are a staple in Manhattan, Kansas and have become a perfect example of the phrase āthere is beauty in simplicityā. There is no writing along the front of the jersey, just a white logo, Nike swoosh and Big 12 patch. On the shoulders, the traditional stripes from days of old with white and silver outlining. As stated previously, one of the most fundamental uniforms in the country. However, these uniformsĀ ā like Bill SnyderĀ ā are here to stay. On the day each leaves Manhattan, Kansas, the college football world will go up in flames.
