8. Washington (Purple)

While it’s certainly hard to top the rest of the Pac-12 when it comes to stunning jerseys, the Washington Huskies come pretty darn close. With the likes of Arizona, Arizona State, USC, UCLA and Oregon, the Pac-12 plays home to some of the coolest designs in the country. Washington can go toe-to-toe with any of them.

The traditional purple of Washington is a thing of beauty. In its modern form, the Nike designed uniforms combine the purple with a hint of black and Huskies gold. Of course, the majority of the jersey is Washington’s primary color, purple. The number on the front of the uniform is white with a gold trim, much like the Washington “W” at the base of the collar. The player number on the shoulder, however, is black. Outlining this black number is the same gold present outlining the front number and the Nike swoosh. Below the number on the shoulder is a black design which wraps around the shoulder and arm to the underarm. This makes for a nice little touch that mixes well with the black numbering slightly above.

Unfortunately for fans, 2018-19 will be the last year the Huskies will sport these eye-popping jerseys. Earlier this year, Washington ended their two-decade relationship with Nike, signing a 10-year, $119 million deal with Adidas. The Huskies will begin wearing Adidas brand jerseys in the 2019-20 season. Luckily, the Huskies will keep the gold and purple which go so well together. Could Adidas possibly put together a Washington uniform cooler than those we’ve seen in years prior? Only time will tell, but Nike did a fantastic job on these.
