Lucas Nogueira

What would you do if you were the least threatening center in the NBA? What would you do if you looked like a 7’3,” 125-pound Sesame Street character? Easy, you cover your face with tats.

Toronto Raptors back-up center did this, adding tattoos over the past few seasons and going from a lovable kids show character to a rim-protecting Brazilian beast who looks like he’s spent more time in prison than the NBA.

Don’t get it twisted. We’re not filing Nogueira’s tattoo’s in the “bad” folder, we’re filing them in the “bad-ass” folder.

The tats have reflected in his style of play as well. Nogueira went from two points and two rebounds a game in the 2015-16 season to four points, four boards and almost two blocks a game the next year! It may not seem like much, but when is the last time you doubled your productivity at work in one year?

Maybe this is something you have done, but when is the last time you did this with sweet face tattoos? That’s what I thought.

Nogueira is not necessarily and integral part of the Raptors, with Jonas Valanciunas and Jakob Poeltl hogging most of the minutes, but if their new coach comes in looking for someone to hype the bench up and look like a mix between a serial murder and an all around great dude, Nogueira is the guy!

Nogueira also has a very cool Canada-Brazil tattoo recognizing the two countries he’s lived in.

Whether he plays next season (or ever) or not, he looks awesome and his tattoos put him in the win column, no matter how many times the Raptors get little-brothered by the Cavs in the playoffs.
