Eagles fan calling three-peat, 2019, 2020

Okay, first we should credit this guy for calling the first title. The Eagles were 8-1 when he got this tattoo and as a football fan, he would have known that anything could have gone wrong from there (it almost did). As a resident of Philadelphia, though, one wasn’t enough.

The most “Philly” thing to do is to one-up the crazy people getting these tattoos with one championship year on them by calling the next two championships as well. The three-peat, something even the dominant New England Patriots could not achieve, is nearly impossible in football.

While the Eagles have a good chance to make it back to the Super Bowl next season, they will have several speed bumps along the way. The Packers have added pieces to make another run around Aaron Rodgers, the Vikings and Saints will likely be good again, the 49ers have yet to lose with Handsome Jimmy G at quarterback and the bulked up L.A. Rams squad is likely going to be unstoppable.

Perhaps the biggest problem the Eagles will face is in-house. Early MVP candidate Carson Wentz is returning and Super Bowl champion quarterback Nick Foles will likely be moved to the bench. If there is one thing that could immediately derail this team, it lies in the upcoming QB controversy. (Obviously joking, you go with Foles no question.)

We’ll have to wait and see on this one, but chances are it is not too early to call this tattoo a bust.
