Paul Pogba (Manchester United)

This is a no-brainer for any club. Not only is Pogba one of the best midfielders in the world, he is another former Juventus player who could benefit from a second chance in Serie A. Couple that with his troubles this past season under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United and you have all the ingredients for a Neymar-like summer transfer saga.

The only real issue here is whether Napoli are willing to spend tons of money. That’s what it would take for Manchester United to part with the French international. Pogba has been linked with a potential return to Juventus this week. Napoli would struggle to compete with the Old Lady in a transfer battle, but if true, the rumor would at least mean Pogba is open to leaving Old Trafford. He would be a huge boost to Napoli’s midfield if they were somehow able to sign him.

Under Mourinho, Pogba has not fared well. This past season, the Frenchman was played out of position and it was clear the relationship the two had built became strained as the season progressed. In a recent interview with French TV station Canal+, Pogba didn’t make things better when he said of Mourinho that “a coach and a player don’t have to be best friends.”
