Cristian Pavon (Boca Juniors)

Napoli have a strong tradition of acquiring South American talent, particularly players from Argentina. The club have had 27 players from Argentina since they were founded in 1926. They also need to strengthen in attack. It’s for these reasons Napoli should pursue the Boca Juniors striker Cristian Pavon.

Instead of pursuing Balotelli, Pavon brings a hardworking attitude to his game. The 22-year-old winger, who was recently included in Argentina’s 23-player roster for the upcoming World Cup, has proven himself at junior level and domestically in Argentina. A move to Serie A would be a great way to jumpstart a European career.

Pavon could very well end up at Arsenal, but Napoli and their new coach definitely have the clout to try and sign him. Pavon could also be relatively cheap since he remains an unknown quantity, something that may should he have a breakout World Cup in Russia in just a few weeks.
