4. New York Knicks

Scouts who like Marvin Bagley often compare him to a young Chris Bosh. Few NBA head coaches better understand how to use a player like Bosh than David Fizdale. The Knicks’ boss could draft Bagley and try to emulate what he did for Bosh in Miami.

There’s also the important detail that Bagley and Kristaps Porzingis could fit well in New York’s froncourt. Porzingis is the unique big man who can block shots, move his feet and hit the 3 consistently. If you dream up a perfect player to partner with Bagley, he’d look a lot like Porzingis.

In the Big Apple, Bagley would have the freedom to get plenty of touches in the post. That’s going to be the best way to utilize him early in his career. Fizdale can work with Bagley to expand his offensive game, but he’s going to cash his checks in the post early on.

The challenge for the Knicks will be having the nerve to take Bagley if he falls all the way to No. 9. There will be lots of pressure on the team to find a perimeter scorer. If they eschew those calls for a new point guard, taking Bagley would make a lot of sense for their future.
