3. Utah Jazz

The number one thing Bagley needs to succeed at the next level is a rim protecting center. There isn’t a better rim protector in the NBA than Jazz big man Rudy Gobert.

The Jazz even have a large potential opening at power forward. Re-signing Derrick Favors could prove cost prohibitive for the team. If they let him walk, Jae Crowder will be the only big man capable of starting at the four.

If Favors leaves, Utah is going to need to find another power forward. Bagley won’t be available to them at No. 21. They’d need to move way up the board if they’re going to acquire the former Blue Devil.

Remember that Jazz coach Quin Snyder has serious connections with the Duke program. He’ll be able to get intel about Bagley that no other team can get due to his relationship with the Blue Devils coaching staff. That could be enough to prompt Utah to make a bold move to acquire Bagley on draft night.
