OAKLAND, CA – APRIL 28: Klay Thompson /

2. Klay Thompson makes the Warriors whole

Here’s a list of BPs that can kill you in eight dribbles: Klay, ummmm, DeAndre and Kittles?

Kevin Durant and Steph Curry are unfair. Durant is a 7-footer who likes to lie about his height in order to trick shorter opponents into guarding him. And Curry can turn into a real life NBA Jam character after hitting three shots in a row.

But Klay Thompson is the guy you really have to worry about. He’s the quiet guy in the class that no one pays attention to until it’s Prom Night and he’s pouring 20 bottles of liquor into the punch bowl.

You know you’re getting 25-30 points out of Durant and Curry on a nightly basis. It may take them 20-25 shots to get there, but they’re going to get there. If Klay gives Golden State 25-30 points, he’s doing it much more efficiently. He’s taking two dribbles, launching and oh look, you’re passed out on the dance floor because 20 bottles of liquor is a lot of friggin’ alcohol.

And this is why the Warriors are just unfair on most nights. They have three guys who can get and hit any shot they want. The Rockets only had two guys of that caliber and were down to one by the end of the series. A couple of other teams have two guys as well. Most teams have just one guy capable of getting any shot. Some teams are the Magic.
