Bill Belichick won’t even smile for Chick Fil A

Wow, even at a Chick-fil-A, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick goes into press conference mode — no emotion whatsoever.

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is known for a lot of things: his my-way-or-the-highway approach — which may have cost them a Super Bowl — his relentlessness and ruthlessness when it comes to cutting players, and his stoic nature. The latter is what many in the media seem to harp on.

HIs approach to press conference has actually become pretty comical at times. His “We’re on to (the next team they’re playing)” approach to questions has become legendary. We also rarely see him smile or even crack a joke.

Well, apparently, he doesn’t even smile when he’s not dealing with the football media. Sports Illustrated got a hold of a video in which Belichick was ordering at a Chick-fil-A drive thru, and guess what — not even a smile.

Well, at least we know one thing. The Bill Belichick we see at the podium isn’t an act. He’s genuine and authentic, but come on. Can’t he just crack a smile for some fast food? Maybe he’s a regular at that particular Chick-fil-A, and they don’t expect much emotion from him — kind of like the media doesn’t expect much in terms of answers when they ask questions.

We now know another thing about Belichick. He considers his players equally expendable. Also, he treats the public at large equally to the media — stoic and not much emotion.
