Atlanta Falcons: Luke McNitt vs. Daniel Marx

The Atlanta Falcons have the talent to once again be a contender in the NFC, after making the Super Bowl two years ago, and being a playoff team again last season. Quarterback Matt Ryan is one of the best in the business at what he does, and wide receiver Julio Jones is as elite as there is.

In the backfield, the Falcons deploy one of the best running back tandems in all of football. The combination of Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman can beat you in so many ways, whether it is up the middle, on the outside, or even in the passing game.

Up front, the Falcons also have a solid offense line, giving them one of the more balanced offensive units in football. On the offensive side of the ball, there is going to be an interesting training camp battle this preseason, and it will come within the backfield.

Luke McNitt and Daniel Marx will be battling it out to see who will be the starting fullback, which is one of the only positions up for grabs on the offense. McNitt had a strong Pro Day, leading to the Falcons signing him as a free agent. Marx was also signed as a free agent after the draft, after blocking for Bryce Love and Christian McCaffrey during his time at Stanford.

With Derrick Coleman gone, this is a spot that is going to be up for grabs this season. Marx and McNitt both bring something different to the table, and no matter who wins the fullback job, the other could be kept for help on the special teams in 2018.
