Detroit Lions — Robert Quinn

A few years ago, it would have seemed crazy to think any team would let Quinn hit unrestricted free agency. And yet in the span of a year, he might he traded and allowed to leave by two teams.

Whatever happened to Quinn, he’s still a 6-foot-4 250 pound, rocked up edge rusher who was once one of the most dominating defensive players in the game. That fleeting, white hot flame clearly came from somewhere, but it was ultimately still short-lived.

Quinn hasn’t posted double-digit sacks in a season since 2014, but did come up with a respectable 8.5 last season. The Dolphins, who traded for him in the spring, likely can’t afford to keep him a year from now, sending him to the free agent market.

Detroit has no answers when Ziggy Ansah walks, and that’s assuming you believed Ansah was an answer to begin with (and I didn’t). This would be the perfect upside play for a team in desperate need of pass rush, playing in a division with teams who will have dangerous passing attacks in 2019 and beyond.
