New York Jets — Shaquil Barrett

No one has more money to spend in free agency for 2019 than the Jets with nearly $77 million in cap space even after handing out some hefty contracts this past spring.

The problem is the free agent class lacks star power unless New York wants to throw money at Le’Veon Bell. Don’t rule that out, either.

But in this spot, the Jets go for a more value signing, one of the most underrated secondary pass rushers in football. Barrett was the 12th best 3-4 outside linebacker in the league last season according to Pro Football Focus despite limited playing time in Denver and he’s more adept in pass coverage than one might guess.

The Jets could snag a back like Bell and still have plenty of room to grab Barrett who might just be the best pass rusher on the market next spring.
