Boston Bruins: Denis Leary

Since I have been a huge fan of the Boston Bruins for years, I initially wanted to highlight myself for this article. However, I was informed that I don’t count as an actual celebrity. Is that rude or what?

Anyway, since I couldn’t talk about myself, why not go with actor Denis Leary?

You may have seen Leary in several movies over the decades. Some of his more recent roles were The Amazing Spider-Man, in which he played police captain George Stacy, and also Draft Day, in which he played Vince Penn, the head coach of the Cleveland Browns (he is probably relieved that he only coached the Browns in the movie, and not in real life).

But outside of his movies, Leary is a huge sports fan. As a native of Worcester, Massachusetts, he’s very passionate about the Boston teams, most notably the Boston Bruins and the Boston Red Sox.

Leary is probably one of the biggest celebrity hockey fans out there, and he’s been supporting the Bruins for a very long time. At his home in Connecticut, he even has an ice hockey rink in his backyard. The rink has piping installed underneath the ice to keep it frozen. Near the rink, Leary has a shed filled with ice skates, hockey sticks, and a ton of Bruins memorabilia to go along with it.

That’s the cool thing about Leary. He doesn’t just love the Boston Bruins. More so, he just loves the game of hockey itself. He’s about as big of a fan as you will find.
