Chicago Blackhawks: Vince Vaughn

Stephen Colbert might be a fair-weather/casual fan of the NHL, but Vince Vaughn is not.

Vaughn, who hails from the great city of Chicago, has been a diehard Chicago Blackhawks fanatic for his entire life. In many of his movies over the years, he has been filmed as a Blackhawks fan cheering for the team at their games, including The Dilemma, in which he starred alongside Kevin James.

In addition to that movie, you may have also seen Vaughn in other popular films such as Swingers, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Starsky & Hutch, Dodgeball, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Wedding Crashers, The Internship and many others. Vaughn has a long list of hilarious comedy films on his resume.

But when he’s not acting, it’s not uncommon to see him in the stands at the United Center cheering on the home team. He still resides in Chicago to this day with his wife and two children, and frequently attends Blackhawks games.

Even though he was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Vaughn spent most of his childhood growing up in Chicago suburbs such as Buffalo Grove and Lake Forest. In addition to the Blackhawks, Vaughn is also an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bulls.

Vaughn was just 15 years old when the monstrous 1985 Bears won the Super Bowl, and seeing the Cubs win the 2016 World Series was probably one of the most memorable experiences of his life. But the Blackhawks will probably always be the closest team to his heart, and there’s no doubt he greatly enjoyed watching the team in 2010, 2013 and 2015.
