4. Tottenham

On second thought, why not go back home? Yes he started out at Southampton, but it was at Spurs where he earned his stripes. And while the home has changed considerably since he left, he’s certainly more than welcome to come back.

Spurs have reached the Champions League once again, which will help sway Bale a bit. They have a fantastic manager in Mauricio Pochettino, who is capable of getting the most out of his players. Harry Kane is arguably the best striker in the Premier League, alongside great players such as Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and others.

Tottenham have been crying out for a winger for years now. They brought in Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain but he’s still getting used to Pochettino’s system. With Bale, it’d feel like a dream to those Spurs fans, seeing one of their own come back and lead them in a new era. With Bale, they can legitimately challenge for the Premier League.

This’ll feel like a dream, because Spurs don’t have the money to straight up buy him back. They may have to do a cash-plus-player deal, maybe swap Kane for Bale? Alli for Bale? It appears to be heading in that direction, should chairman Daniel Levy pick up the phone and place a call to Madrid.
