3. Jamal Crawford

To be fair, this does nothing for the Knicks bottom line. It’s been several years since Crawford was useful for anything other than offense off the bench and even that value has evaporated with his plummeting shooting percentages. Still, Crawford has already made clear he intends to exercise his player option from the Timberwolves and find a new home for next season.

Yes, Crawford played for the Knicks during one of the darker eras for the team. But there was something so right about him in a Knicks uniform. His flashy game looked more at home in the Garden than anywhere else he’s ever played.

If Porzingis is missing large portions of next season, why not let Crawford get some run off the bench and add a few more highlights to his career reel? He can teach Ntilikina how to shake and show him how to bake, and keep Knicks games fun without crashing their draft positioning.
