2. Mario Hezonja

Pretty much everyone recognized Mario Hezonja as a disappointment in Orlando, that is except Hezonja. His swag meter is always in the red and towards the end of the season, well after Orlando declined to exercise their fourth-year rookie option on him, Hezonja actually put up some numbers.

Over 26 games from Jan. 3 to March 5, Hezonja averaged 13.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game, shooting 47.0 percent from the field and 35.7 percent on 3-pointers. Consistency and focus are the concerns (and defense) but he’s a skilled offensive player on the wing who will get a chance to display his potential outside the context of the Magic for the first time next season.

More than one team will be interested in taking a flyer on Hezonja next year and the Knicks should absolutely put themselves on that list.
