3. Dean Ambrose

When Ambrose returns from injury, he’s going to need something to do. Why not pit him against his former Shield partner? Ambrose has the mic skills to work as a face or heel against Reigns.

The best use of both is to let them work as their natural selves. Both men have the character range to make crowds invest in them for different reasons. Letting them work a program against one another with an actual, relatively complicated storyline could be really entertaining.

This doesn’t need to be something trite like Rollins didn’t call and check on Ambrose during his injury. It needs more layers than that. It could start as a well-intentioned competition between two friends. Through the course of conflict, it could evolve into something darker.

In an ideal world, the WWE would allow Ambrose to really become unhinged during a long-term program with Reigns. They both have the wrestling talent to work several PPV matches against one another. Ambrose vs. Reigns in something like Hell in a Cell has a particularly nice ring to it. All they need is time and a storyline from WWE officials to make this work.
