2. The secondary will lead the NFL in interceptions

The Green Bay offense scoring a lot of points with Rodgers at the helm isn’t only going to help boost Matthews’ sack total. It’s also going to help the Packers get a ton of interceptions. The team’s decision to spend two high draft picks on their secondary will give them a lot of chances to pick passes off in 2018.

Curiously, Damarious Randall led the team with five interceptions last season but he’s now a member of the Cleveland Browns. It’s going to be up to a new look group to force an obscene amount of turnovers.

In particular, watch for rookies Jaire Alexander and Josh Jackson to take a lot of chances. Alexander has the speed, but Jackson showed tremendous ball skills in college. If he gets on the field when opponents are desperate to force the ball down the field he could have an absolute field day.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Kevin King will also need to increase their production from last season. Clinton-Dix picked off three passes while King failed to register a single interception. Look for Clinton-Dix to pick off seven or eight and for King to register three or four of his own.

Green Bay invested heavily in their secondary during the draft and it’s going to pay off with a boatload of turnovers this season.
