All hail, Gabby DiMarco, queen of baseball and beer
By Cody Rivera
Ever chug an entire beer with a baseball inside of it? Gabby DiMarco has.
Sometimes, you just never know what you’re going to encounter on any given day at the ballpark. For instance, a San Diego Padres fan named Gabby DiMarco probably had no idea that, while attending Tuesday’s Padres-Braves game at Petco Park, she would get to try a brand new flavor of beer.
Turns out, it was baseball-flavored beer. Ever heard of it?
Here’s the story. Gabby was sitting in the upper deck enjoying a nice, cold beer at the ballpark when, in the top of the fifth inning, Atlanta’s Ender Inciarte popped a foul ball behind him that headed straight for Gabby’s section.
In one of the flukiest things I have ever seen, the ball just happened to find its way right into Gabby’s beer cup. The craziest part was that she was in no way, shape, or form trying to catch the ball in her beer. The ball accomplished that feat entirely on its own. I have to give props to Gabby for remaining calm and keeping a firm grip on her cup, because in most cases, that beer would probably be on the ground in about a millisecond.
It gets even better, though. It’s an unwritten rule of beer drinking that you must always … I repeat, ALWAYS … finish a beer that you’ve started drinking. There are no excuses. This rule didn’t seem to bother Gabby at all, because after she laughed it off for a few seconds, she proceeded to chug every last drop of beer in her cup, and she did it with the baseball still in it.
And I do have to add that the cup wasn’t anywhere near empty when it was attacked by the baseball. Gabby is one impressive beer drinker.

FanSided likes to recognize different fans and fan bases for many different reasons through the Fandom 250 rankings, and Gabby might just make a nice addition to the list. Beer and baseball obviously go great together, but she took it to whole new level.
