1. Luis Enrique

Luis Enrique is another high-profile manager without a job. His stint at Barcelona was remarkably successful as he won nine trophies in three years, with a win percentage of 76.2. The question is whether he could repeat the trick without a front line of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez. Hazard, Pedro and Willian are good, but they’re not that good.

Enrique would bring a new, fresh style of play to Chelsea, which should keep the fans entertained. At Barca, he combined the club’s tiki-taka style with a slightly more direct approach. They dominated possession, but they were more willing to play direct. That flexibility would be valuable at a club used to such regular manager turnover.

Like Blanc, Enrique is also willing to give young players a chance. Roman Abramovich has seemed less willing to spend than he has been in the past, which should mean Chelsea finally have reason to make use of their prolific youth academy. If Enrique could build a team full of academy products he would be beloved by the Stamford Bridge faithful.
