Marc-Andre Fleury thanks his good friend, the post, for the assist

Is the tide of luck turning in favor of the Vegas Golden Knights? Marc-Andre Fleury sure hopes so, as he continued his tradition of rubbing the goal post after an Alexander Ovechkin shot dinged iron.
Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury started his tradition of rubbing his buddy, the goal post, early throughout the playoffs, and it has continued here tonight in Game 5.
For Vegas fans, it has to be nice to see that the Washington Capitals also miss shots occasionally, as the Golden Knights hit somewhere in the range of 8,429 posts in Game 4 en route to a devastating loss on the road.
Well, the tide may be turning, and Fleury isn’t about to forget who’s always been there for him.
It’s quick, as you don’t typically want your goaltender turning in the middle of the play to offer love to the net. But trust us, it’s there. That came after Alexander Ovechkin rocked iron on the powerplay, which is also good fortune because he’s a beast and has been destroying Vegas so far this series.
As of this writing, the Golden Knights have pulled ahead to tie the game at 2-2, so maybe Fleury is onto something.
Here are a few more looks at Fleury throughout this postseason giving his best friend a healthy massage.
Also, apparently, his antics don’t extend to rubbing goal posts. He likes to tickle players, too, as Blake Wheeler can attest to.
He just has to extend the love in any way he can.
