2. Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers are ready for this offseason. They have the ability to sign two max free agents and are planning on getting the franchise back to the promise land by doing so. For a long time, the two names most connected with the Lakers have been Paul George and LeBron James. George went as far as to the tell the Pacers that he planned on joining the Lakers in free agency once his contract expired.

Now, it is time for the Lakers to make that happen. However, if Paul was to join the Lakers, he would be able to go back to LA and team up with a super star. Whether that is Paul George or his banana boat buddy LeBron he would be in position to win significant games and become a contender in the West yet again.

He would finally be able to join the Lakers without the owners blocking him from doing so. This time, he would get LeBron or George instead of Kobe, but he can live with that. Then, if the Lakers are also able to retain Julius Randle, who broke out last year, they’ll be positioned well to compete for a few years. Lonzo Ball will have to improve his shooting to get more minutes so he can play off the ball, but that’s a problem for the Lakers to figure out later.

The Lakers would once again become with epicenter of the basketball world. A star-studded team in one of the biggest media markets is pure gold. Certainly, this would be the outcome the NBA is hoping for in terms of a money-making perspective.
