Simona Halep won her first Grand Slam on Saturday, defeating American Sloane Stephens in three captivating sets, and the world congratulated her.

World No. 1 Simona Halep is a Grand Slam winner to go along with the top ranking. After losing to Carolina Wozniacki in the Australian Open, and watching the Danish player achieve the long awaited world No. 1 and maiden Slam simultaneously.
