12. Nigeria

The Super Eagles are sending a deep and versatile squad to Russia. It’s a group front-loaded in forward areas.

Leicester striker Kelechi Iheanacho and former Watford frontman Odion Ighalo will ensure Nigeria don’t lack for goals. The prolific pair will rely on Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi for creativity. His quick footwork and technique have a natural home in the No. 10 position.

Further back, Iheanacho’s Foxes team-mate Wilfred Ndidi will hold together midfield alongside Mikel John Obi. Meanwhile, Chelsea man Victor Moses and CSKA’s Ahmed Musa will offer pace and energy out wide.

This is a squad more than capable of beating Croatia to the runners-up spot in Group D.
