Chandler Hutchison. 22. player. 24. . G/F. Boise State

This selection was a little more difficult for me. Had I selected a center or a point guard with the No. 7 pick (Sexton or Carter Jr.), then this would’ve been the obvious choice.

Like I said earlier, the Bulls need wing depth and Chandler Hutchison definitely provides them with that. The tough part was choosing two small forwards in the first round of the same draft when the Bulls clearly need a younger center on their roster as well.

However, if there’s one thing the Chicago Bulls could take from the Boston Celtics this year, it was that you can never have too many guys who can play the forward position and stretch the floor. I mean, going forward the Celtics are likely to have Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Gordon Hayward all in their starting lineup. They’re also likely to be the best team in the Eastern Conference. Maybe the Bulls should follow their model?

Taking Chandler Hutchison along with Michael Porter Jr. provides the Bulls with the ability to roll out a small-ball lineup with Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine, Chandler Hutchison, Michael Porter Jr., and Lauri Markkanen.

That lineup would surely get scored on a whole lot (unless they surprise the NBA and improve drastically on defense) but they would also put the ball in the hoop at a high rate. The offensive upside of that lineup would be insane.

Another thing the Bulls would get by drafting Chandler Hutchison is insurance in case Michael Porter Jr. becomes more injury prone than we all are hoping.
