While we hate to see the playoffs end, and really any live hockey action in general, there’s always more to look forward to right around the corner. Before we get to the July 1

free agency period, there’s another matter of incredible import looming just over a week away.
The NHL Draft is coming to the great state of Texas, specifically American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Stars. They’ve never hosted the event before, so it’s pretty exciting to see how it unfolds for them. We’re sure they’ll put on a wonderful show. The draft starts Friday, June 22 with Round 1 and ends on Saturday, June 23, with Rounds 2 through 7. Broadcast information will be available as we move closer to the date.
Swedish defenseman Rasmus Dahlin is expected to go first overall to the Buffalo Sabres, but there are plenty of other big names to watch for in Round 1 also. Andrei Svechnikov will likely be selected second, but Brady Tkachuk, Filip Zadina, Oliver Wahlstrom and Adam Boqvist are all viable and talented options sure to be gone before Day 2.
