3. Justin Bour, Miami Marlins

Bour has gone hitless in three straight games, so he may already be starting to cool off. But over his previous 13 games he hit .306/.375/.469 with a home run, four RBI, seven runs scored and five doubles. Overall this season, he’s now hitting .239 (.803 OPS) with 10 home runs, 27 RBI and 25 runs scored.

Bour has hit eight of his 10 home runs so far this season at home, but the pitcher-friendly nature of Marlins Park has pushed a BABIP gap to over 100 points home (.217) vs. road (.325). So a change of scenery may do Bour some good, as Miami likely moves into a further sell-mode approaching the trade deadline.

But Bour is also entrenched in the middle of the Marlins’ lineup, with 248 of his 257 plate appearances so far this year coming in the third (52 plate appearances), fourth (146 plate appearances) or fifth (50 plate appearances) spots in the order. A trade would almost surely change that, to perhaps offset the potential broader boost that would come from being in a better lineup.

That said, and with the potential for serious hot and cold streaks, Bour is a worthy Cabrera replacement in mixed leagues.
