19. Brad Brach

As you read through this list, you’ll notice it is loaded with soon-to-be-former Baltimore Orioles All-Stars. We’ll kick things off with 2016 All-Star reliever Brad Brach. After a bumpy start to the year, Brach has righted the ship and has the type of numbers that will get plenty of contenders interested in his services. Like the other Orioles on this list, Brach is a free agent at the end of the year.

In the absence of All-Star closer Zach Britton, Brach has managed to do a passable job as his replacement. He hasn’t had many opportunities this year, however, and is best suited for a setup role on a better team. Through his first 22 appearances of the year, he has a 3.27 ERA and has struck out 25 in 22 innings while allowing only one home run. Brach has allowed only one earned run over his last 11 appearances.

It can be an adventure watching Brach pitch, as his command can waver at times. The 32-year-old has been one of the best finds for Orioles exec Dan Duquette. He is durable and able to stretch out past an inning when called upon to do so.

Since joining the Orioles, Brach has thrown the fifth-highest total of innings in the big leagues. He is 26-15 with a 2.78 ERA for the Birds while striking out 9.6 per nine. Brach isn’t going to bring back a top-100 prospect, but the Orioles will still find very attractive offers for this rental reliever.
