1. LeBron James

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: LeBron James is going to the Los Angeles Lakers. Call it a year, call it two years, call it however long you want to call it but this has been a hot rumor for a long time and LeBron’s latest decision on where to take his talents is coming soon. June 29 is going to be a big day in the NBA. That is the last day that James can tell the Cavaliers whether or not he’s opting out of the final year of his contract, a year that would see him make $35.6 million, and teams like the Rockets, 76ers, Spurs and a few others are going to drive themselves crazy until then.

I’m not going to go into stats with someone like LeBron James. He’s a walking stat machine and I don’t care if he just lost again in the NBA Finals, the guy knows how to get it done. There is no reason that this most recent Cavaliers team should have been in the NBA Finals and yet there they were riding LeBron’s back. And, of course, he’s taking a lot of heat for losing in the Finals for the sixth time in this ridiculous Jordan vs. LeBron thing but there’s not one single person out there that can truly say they wouldn’t want LeBron James on their team.

So what’s it going to take? For one, it is going to take a lot of money. But for LeBron to come to L.A., I think he’s going to have to know that this franchise is committed to winning now and that he’ll have the pieces around him to make that happen. You know, a piece like Paul George. It wouldn’t surprise me if the two had already talked about this and it could change the face of a franchise pretty darn quick.

PG-13 and The King of L.A. Think Lakers fans could get on board with that?
