17. player. 89. . G/F. Cedevita. Dzanan Musa

To start: I think Musa would be a fantastic fit in Milwaukee, the type of microwave scorer they’ve never had, a player who also is long and quick enough to fit into the switching defense their team should be playing. But he’s not who we will be talking about here.

We’re talking about the Greek Freak’s brother.

Kostas Antetokounmpo made international news this week when he decided to keep his name in the draft following the international early-entry deadline. No surprise there. With that name and a similar skill set to his brother, he was always going to get a long look from NBA teams.

The shocking part came next:

As a redshirt sophomore at Dayton, Antetokounmpo barely played. He was 2-15 on 3s and assisted on just 13 shots compared with 39 turnovers (1:3, you read that right). So it’s not as if he’s the most sought-after collegiate athlete purely on the merit of his performance. This is weird.

The Bucks, sitting at 17, have their choice of a ton of players who would help their team, including Musa, Robert Williams, Kevin Huerter and De’Anthony Melton. If they picked the brother of their best player (ranked 58th on ESPN’s big board), it would be a real mistake.
