Oregon. Troy Brown. 22. player. 24. . G/F

More than simply needing wing players, the Bulls need players who can do multiple things on the court. Right now, their roster is full of guys who do one or two things well but are wholly limited. Brown surely has limitations, but could be the type of versatile role player who makes those around him better.

The main struggle: shooting. Brown shot just 29 percent from 3 despite launching over three per game at Oregon. He also rarely got to the line and made just 74 percent of those attempts. His shot is going to be the focus of his development going forward, but otherwise Brown’s game is solid.

Brown notoriously played point guard throughout his early childhood, and those skills are evidenced by his 18.7 percent assist rate from the forward position as a freshman. He should go to a team willing to give him opportunities to create offense and handle the ball. That’s a massive part of his value.

Now, if we project Michael Porter Jr. will go seventh, he will plug up some of the shallowness on the wing and the lack of shooting on the roster. Put Brown in the mix as a third or fourth guard next season and there’s suddenly a whole lot more upside for this Chicago roster.

Any player with multiple NBA skills is a solid bet for a rebuilding team.
