Kawhi Leonard wants out of San Antonio, and there’s so many possibilities as to where he could end up. There’s one under-the-radar team that could make a deal for him.

If Kawhi Leonard wants out of San Antonio then all other 29 teams are going to be lining up to try and bring him in. Over the next few weeks and into free agency the Spurs have to decide if they’re going to hold on to him or trade him.

There are a handful of teams that you already know that are definitely going to be interested in his services. The Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks and Boston Celtics are all teams expected to try and snag Leonard.

There’s one team that may fly under the radar and try to make a deal for the small forward. That team is the Sacramento Kings.

The Kings have the second-overall pick in this summer’s NBA Draft and a handful of young guys the Spurs might like. The Kings want to contend as soon as possible considering they haven’t made the playoffs since the 2005-06 season.

Now the Kings also have been reported to spend that No. 2 pick on former Missouri Tiger, Michael Porter Jr. They also desperately want an established star so the possibility of getting Leonard may outweigh picking a 19-year-old who only played three college games.

There’s also the possibility of the Kings bringing back DeMarcus Cousins during free agency. If they were able to do that they could possibly have two All-NBA players on their roster, and would be in immediate playoff contention.

Who knows if the Spurs would take the second pick from the Kings. They haven’t picked in the lottery since they drafted Tim Duncan back in 1997. That second pick could give them a star to possibly replace Leonard.
