Colombia face Japan at Mordovia Arena on Tuesday, June 19. Here’s all the info you need to watch the World Cup match.

The World Cup kicks off for Colombia and Japan on Tuesday as the two nations meet in Saransk at Mordovia Arena. Along with Senegal and Poland, Group H is arguably the most even better the four teams. Any team could finish first and winning the opening game of the group stage will go a long way in determining which two nations reach the round of 16.

Colombia reached the quarterfinal four years ago in Brazil behind the strong play of James Rodriguez. The Bayern Munich midfielder will be counted on to drive the Colombia attack, controlling play in the middle of the field. After missing the World Cup four years ago with a knee injury, Radamel Falcao finally gets his chance on the biggest stage. Falcao is Colombian’s all-time leading goal scorer and coming off of a 24 goal season for Monaco. In their own end of the field, Colombia will depend on Tottenham center-back Davinson Sanchez to anchor the defense.

Japan have qualified for every World Cup since 1998. However, Samurai Blue have only made it out of the group stage twice. Four years ago, Japan went home after failing to win a game. The Japanese have an aging roster of experienced players that hope to get out of the group for the first time since 2010. Shinji Kagawa will operate behind Shinji Okazaki, driving the attack and pushing the ball forward. Kagawa, Okazaki and Keisuke Honda all made their national team debut in 2008 and this could be their last chance for glory with their national team.
