DFS GOLF: Travelers Championship – OB’s Fanduel Lineup
DFS GOLF: Travelers Championship – OB’s Fanduel Lineup
After the absolute dumpster fire that was the US Open, I feel it is important to address one thing to my fellow fantasy sports analysts and readers. Make sure you make an effort to follow me on twitter @MJOBrien31 . The content I create here at FantasyCPR is upheld with the content I release on my twitter. Following me will help provide you with even more lineup diversity as I release more short and to the point information that will help you adjust or create your weekly PGA Lineups. If you had followed my twitter last week, you would have been provided a few extra lineup combinations that would’ve helped lighten the tragedy of my main lineup run.
Hopefully Cromwell treats us better than Shinnecock did, as we attempt to optimize our lineup with grizzled vet’s who have played well at this venue.
The goal this week: win some of our US Open money back
DFS GOLF: OB’s Lineup
Jordan Spieth ( FD $11,500 )
The price tag on Spieth is simply too low considering the fact that he won this tournament last year. This could potentially be due to the fact that Spieth’s putting has been atrocious all year. I believe that he could do some major damage once again as he will have to take advantage of the easier greens on this course and be mediocre on the harder greens. His approach will be key, but I have faith that Spieth will put on a strong showing this weekend in Connecticut. As the cheapest elite talent, feel comfortable building your lineup around him.
Paul Casey ( FD $11,200 )
While Casey is somewhat expensive this week, I feel his red-hot play at this course could prove to be worth the extra capital. Casey has three consecutive T20 finishes at TPC River Highlands and you shouldn’t expect him to veer away from that status. View Casey as a pricey yet worthy investment that has a high floor and a medalist ceiling. Buy with confidence.

Bubba Watson ( FD $10,400 )
This course has been very friendly to Watson over the years as he has won this event twice now. If you haven’t noticed by now, course history plays a big role into who I believe will perform well here. Bubba is a bomber. That aspect of his game has helped him in the past and I don’t predict things to change in this scenario. The greens should work in his favor and he should put on another great performance at this event.
Brendan Steele ( FD $9,500 )
Steele hasn’t been his best lately, but he has been incredible at this course. Is it getting old yet? Maybe so. Steele has finished T25 four consecutive times at this course. Enough said? I believe so. Worst comes to worst, he still makes his cuts! 11/12 sounds good to me. The other storyline that bode’s well for Steele is that he is due for a bounce back performance. Why not now?
Vaughn Taylor ( FD $8,700 )
Taylor is a stellar play this week. His game has gotten better and better his past three outings and has a cheap high floor. The veteran golfer is an amazing value that will surely give you your bang for your buck. Play the Taylor card with extra confidence as he took a week of rest during the US Open. Buy low and celebrate winning high with this pick.
CT Pan ( FD $8,600 )
Pan is a player I’ve been riding over the past month as he has returned value multiple times. He has proven to be a fantastic low ball play. Buy the Taipei golfer and enjoy the fruits of a bargain. His play has gradually gotten better and the 26-year-old is truly making an impact that continuously gets better over the weeks. We could be looking at the PGA Tours next up and coming talent.
